General Program Questions
When and where?
The Yale Cyber Leadership Forum will take place April 7th - 8th, 2018 at the Yale School of Management, 165 Whitney Avenue, on the Yale University campus in New Haven, Connecticut, USA.
What is the application deadline?
Admission is rolling and we will inform applicants of their acceptance within two weeks of receiving their completed application. Once the program reaches capacity, we will not accept additional participants, but will add names to a wait list.
What does the tuition fee cover?
The fee of $2,995 includes program materials, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, and all-day refreshments. Housing is not included in the course fee; however, a special hotel rate (which includes breakfast) at a local hotel will be provided for participants. Tuition must be paid by March 30, 2018. Scholarships are available.
Am I eligible for a discount?
If you apply and pay in full by March 9th, the early bird discount of $1,995 will automatically be applied to your application.Government and non-profit employees qualify for a reduced tuition of $1,995. Yale alumni qualify for 15% off tuition. Discounts may not be combined.
Will there be Wi-Fi available?
Yes, all participants will have free access to Wi-Fi inside the conference center. No password is required.
What is the dress code?
Attire for classroom sessions will be business casual.
Travel & Logistics Questions
What is the best way to get to and from New Haven, CT?
If traveling by plane, Bradley International Airport (BDL) is approximately 45 minutes from New Haven and is served by nine major carriers to 29 non-stop destinations and connections. The city of New Haven is also accessible from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), and LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Tweed New Haven (HVN) is the airport nearest to New Haven, but offers limited service.
In all cases, travel by car or train from the airport to New Haven is necessary. For detailed information on air and train travel, please visit the “Visit New Haven” web site.
It is recommended that you arrange transportation from the airport through Hy’s Limousine or GO Shuttle. It is not recommended that you take a taxi to New Haven from the airport, as it would be very expensive.
If traveling by train via Amtrak or Metro-North, select New Haven Union Station as your final destination. Taxis are readily available at the train station. The ride from Union Station to the hotel is about 10 minutes and costs approximately $13 USD.
I need a VISA letter. How can I get one?
If you are an international participant and need to apply for a VISA, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive an official invitation letter for your VISA application.
Will transportation be provided during the Forum?
Transportation by bus will be provided for Forum-related events only. Participants will be picked up from the hotel each morning and dropped off each evening.
I'm driving. Where do I park?
Parking at Yale School of Management is private, and requires a Yale University Parking Permit. However, there is ample parking in the surrounding area.
