Who Should Attend?
The Yale Cyber Leadership Forum is aimed at leaders who have faced the challenge of bridging the divide between law, technology, and business in cybersecurity. We are seeking a diverse set of thought leaders—practitioners from leading law firms, cybersecurity technology experts, policy experts, and academics working at the cutting edge of cybersecurity—who are eager to share their experiences, learn more about the array of cyber threats, gather new strategies for overcoming cybersecurity challenges, and contribute to discussions of the best way to tackle the challenges ahead.
Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential for participation in the Forum.
We are delighted to announce the availability of competitive full and partial scholarships for highly qualified cybersecurity professionals who wish to participate in the 2019 Forum but do not have the financial resources to do so.
Scholarships offset tuition and are made possible through generous outside sponsorship. Transportation to New Haven and accommodations are not covered.
Applications for scholarship funding will be accepted until noon (Eastern Standard Time) on February 12. Scholarship decisions will be announced the following day, on February 13.
Scholarships are primarily for professionals working in government, the non-profit sector, and academia for whom the already reduced tuition rate of $1,995 would be a hardship. Applicants who own or work in start-ups or very small businesses may also be considered.
To apply, you must meet the eligibility criteria and submit a complete application online that includes a:
Personal statement describing your work experience, the contribution you make to your company or organization, and what you hope to gain by attending the Yale Cyber Leadership Forum
Brief statement of financial need
CV or resume, to include a list of three (3) references that have worked with you as a supervisor or colleague, and whom the Forum may contact in reference to your application
Scholarship winners who accept the offer and wish to hold their place in the Forum will be asked to make a refundable deposit of $250 by February 15. The deposit will be fully refunded upon registration at the Forum on February 28.
The full tuition rate is $2,995. It includes program materials, most meals, all-day refreshments, and transportation to and from all Forum-related events. To secure your space in the Forum, you must make a $500 deposit no later than February 8th.
Housing is not included in the course fee; however, a special hotel rate (which includes breakfast) will be provided for participants at a local hotel.
Government, non-profit, and academic professionals always qualify for a reduced tuition of $1,995. Yale University alumni qualify for 15% off full tuition. Discounts may not be combined.
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
We will inform applicants of their acceptance within two weeks of receiving their completed application. Once the forum reaches capacity, we will not accept additional participants, but will add names to a wait list.
A full tuition fee refund will be issued if you withdraw 2 weeks (14 days) before the start of the forum. After that date, no refund will be issued. However, you may defer your participation until the following year (any fee increase will apply) or send a qualified substitute in your place (separate application is required).
